Richard Furch is a Los Angeles-based stereo and ATMOS mixer.
He has amassed credits on 6 Grammy winning albums out of 27 nominated ones while being a 20 year voting member of NARAS.
A Billion+ YouTube views, 2 Diamond albums, many Multi-Platinum and Gold records and countless Number 1 projects worldwide underline his dedication to the craft and business of mixing music.
Originally from Berlin and a summa cum laude graduate of Berklee College Of Music as well as SAE Berlin, he started his engineering career in New York, quickly making a name for himself in R&B and Hip Hop while working on seminal albums such as Outcast’s “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below”, Jay-Z’s “The Blueprint” and Usher’s “Confessions”.
After moving to Los Angeles, he became a first call mixer for Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam for Chaka Khan, The Isley Brothers, Patti LaBelle and Usher and eventually personal engineer and mixer for Prince resulting in the “Lotusflow3r” and “MPLSound” albums.
Focusing his career on mixing exclusively, he collaborated with Frank Ocean, Boyz II Men, India.Arie, Tyrese, The Weeknd, Steve Aoki, Guns N Roses, Slayer, Brandy, Charlie Wilson, Mario, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Tobi Lou, BJ The Chicago Kid, Joe, Kem, K. Michelle, Ledisi and Leela James in the US and also mixed for international superstar artists JJ Lin, GEM, Tanya Chua, Anahi and iLe as well as gaming juggernauts League Of Legends and Honor Of Kings. He’s equally at home mixing scores for videogames like Assassin’s Creed and TV shows such as Pokerface and The New Edition Story.
Giving back, Richard was an artist in residence at Berklee College Of Music and traveling professor for the SAE Germany and Beijing Contemporary Music Academy.
He has created multiple masterclasses for his own emixing.com banner as well as SonicScoop and Produce Like A Pro, endorses software companies such as McDsp, Metric Halo and Relab and was featured in Mix Magazine and twice on Pensado’s Place. He continues mentoring new talent via ongoing Grammy Museum and NARAS initiatives.
A highlight of his story was the dedication in his name of the Studio A at the SAE Nürnberg in 2025 and receiving a certificate from the city of Los Angeles for outstanding citizenship and enhancing community.
